Travel Diary Part 2 : Hampton, Salem, Boston 2012

Day 2 - 07/24/12 : Boston

On the second day we went to visit the grand and magnificent city of Boston, and it is a city I learn to leave even more everytime I get to visit it. It is quite a big city, yet it feels like a small town for its peaceful in all its liveliness and the architecture is very picturesque. I do love looking at the architecture whenever I visit a city and in Boston I do not lack anything to look at :P I did take a loooooot of picture of the architecture but I am not going to post it here because it would take ages to post them all XD.
So we started our day in the city of Boston by visiting the famous Boston aquarium, which is really huge and, I must say, soooooo fun xD I do love visiting aquariums and this one was awesome. It has that big tube-like aquarium tank in the middle that spans on different floor and while you ascend the inside you get to move around the tube tank while seeing other aquariums on every floor. It was a visit I enjoyed a lot, even though the aquarium was a bit too much crowded...

Nothing cuter than a penguin :P

Jellyfish!!!

After our visit of the aquarium we went to walk around town a bit! We visited the famous Quincy Market, designed by the architect Alexander Parris in 1825. The place really is beautiful and the main building of the market is of neoclassical style, reminding of the ancient greek temples. It is massive and impressive when you get in front of it!

Here are a few other pictures I have taken while walking around town :P

Our last stop of the day would be the Boston museum of Sciences. It is truly one of the most interesting museum i have visited, it is very interactive and presents a lot of aspects of sciences, from maths to archaeology along electricity, astronomy, physics and many others. All the exhibits are well done and explains everything so that it can be understood by a broad audience, which makes it a museum interesting for all ages. Enough talk, I shall let the pictures speak :D

Real djeds!!!!!!!
What could be better than a camel ride on a hot day? ;)
Portable storm :P
The world's largest van de graaf generators! This was in the theater of electricity, an exhibit about, as you might have guessed, electricity XD There were some lightning shows and it was very impressive! I tried uploading videos but this evil blog did not let me, I shall try again later...
Skype in the 60s

Battle cry!!!!

After a long and entertaining day, what could possibly be better than a nice meal? A nice meal with red wine of cours, haha! We went back to the hotel and cooked with something that has become a classic for us when we go to the USA, and that would be... Paul Newman's vodka sauce haha XD every single time we go visit the states we HAVE to buy that sauce! It's soooo good (i guess it feels that good actually because we eat it while traveling xD). Oh and one who goes to Boston does not have a choice to eat the famous donuts from Dunkin' Donuts, the famous pastries that were born in Boston (and the best donuts ever haha :P).

That... makes me hungry xD
So that is all for now :P I will try to put the rest of the trip in only one last part, so the journal diary will be a three-parts one! Hopefully, if all goes well, I will post it tomorrow :D I have been waiting long enough and it's really time for me to post this before I forget everything xD Well now its 2:50 and it really is time for me to go to bed, so good night everyone xxxxx oh and thanks a lot for reading this <3

(c) all the pics taken by me, don't you dare steal them!!!
